How to remove items from BOM

I have a drawing from an animation that is an exploded view of a tool holder, it has say 35 parts.  25 of these parts I want to list in the BOM, but the other 10 I want remove from the BOM.  They are screws or other unimportant items for the purpose of this drawing (to be used in a parts supply catalog).  How can I do that?

Hi Tom,

Parts List editing is still T.B.D.  You can remove these components from the table by unchecking them in the browser in the drawing, the caveat being this will also remove them from the drawing view.  The lightbulb will toggle visibility in the drawing and leave them in the Parts List (edit: This is not possible for views from animations - we use the visibility settings in the storyboard), but we can't do the opposite (leave visible but suppress in the table).  Will that work for you?

Thanks,
Chris

I hoped to keep them in the drawing and just remove them from the list.  Sounds like that isn't possible.  Oh well.

Thanks,

Has Autodesk implemented this yet? Looks like its been about 2 years and its pretty silly that one can't exclude items from a BOM. We can easily check categories on/off, so why not parts. All your other programs can do this. Hopefully I have just missed this function somewhere.

Well I copy the parts list into excel. Edit as I like. Paste it in to the drawing. Autodesk has some separate software manges BOM but it doesnt put the BOM or parts list into the drawing.

The drawing side of Fusion has been neglected about the same as I've neglected dental floss.......

Thats bad that it still doesnt work.

I need reference files which should never apear on the bom.

Still no solution on this?

It is very frustrating to not being able to choose what to be shown in the boom list or not...

Please reply on this.

Two years since the last post... are we any further along with this feature? Specifically for exploded drawings.

Actually is still not possible to manage the BOM element in customizable way.
I need a list of single component only and not the assembly. This is not possible now.
You can have list of sub component but only the first level, or all items. But if you select all levels I'll have list with assembly listed. I do not want this because I've got a huge table for nothing...
