How to remove Fusion 360 from a MAC

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a MacBook Pro, Yosemite.

I installed Fusion but now cannot remove it.

It uses up all my RAM and I have access to a separate Drawing program.

If I drag the icon from Launchpad to Trash, it bounces back.

If I look for it on CleanMyMac, it si not included.

I thought it might be an Address and needed the i/net to go into action, but its the same when I am not on line.

I think its a great program but its in the way on this Mac.

How do I remove it?

Thanks

MAC
           Uninstalling

           Fusion downloaded from Autodesk.com:

          1. Click the Launchpad.

          2. Find and click on the Remove Autodesk Fusion 360 icon. This starts the Uninstaller.

         Clearing remaining program files:

           1. Using Finder navigate to /users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/.

           2. Check for and delete the following folders if they exist:

                 - Autodesk Fusion 360

                 - MC3

                 - FusionDoc 2016

                 - Synergy

                 - Neutron

                 - Neutron Platform

                 - NINVFUS

                 - production

                 - Web Services

                 - Webdeploy

           3. Next, in Finder go to the following folders and remove the listed folders/files:

                 - /users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Common - If present, delete the Material Library folder.

                 - /users/<username>/Downloads - If present, delete Fusion 360 Client Downloader.dmg.

                 - /users/<username>/Library/Caches/com.autodesk.senddump

                 - /users/<username>/Library/Logs/autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log
                 - /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.fusion360.Autodesk Fusion 360.plist
                 - /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.MC3Framework.plist
                 - /users/<username>/Library/CrashReporter/MaterialLibraryMigrator...plist

-/Library/Application Support/ - If present and empty delete the Autodesk folder.

           4. Finally, launch a Terminal window.

           5. At the prompt enter open $TMPDIR and press <Enter>.

           6. In the Finder window if present, move the following folders to the Trash:

               - Autodesk

               - Neutron

               - protolabs

           7. Once done, close Finder, then close Terminal.

Fusion downloaded from the Apple Store:

           1. Drag the Fusion 360 icon from the LaunchPad to the trash.

           2. Using Finder go to /Users/<username>/Library/Containers.

           3. Delete the entry com.autodesk.mas.

           4. Close Finder.

Thank you for that detail. I do appreciate it.
I simply can't find "uninstaller: except on Clean My Mac and that would not
link to Autodesk.
But I have had some success via Finder and some of the files were present
and could be deleted.

I will do more checking.

Yes, kudos to you!
