How to remove fillet from an imported step file

Could you help me with this problem. I have received a step file and I want to remove all fillets and convert it into sharp edges to do further changes. When I delete the fillet the whole model gets deleted.

Hi @sfdesign.sachinforge, thanks for posting.

I was able to remove the fillets. I think the order of removal made a difference in this case. I've started with the largest ones, then the small two on the "corners". Then by trial and error I removed the rest. Is this the model you had in mind?

I saw the screencast but I didn't understand how did the fillet get deleted. Maybe you deleted the larger ones first that's why

1. There is no regularity to this process.
First I try to remove several fillets via window selection.
2. If this is not completely successful, I remove the remaining ones individually, whereby the order is also done by trial and error.

Is your model different than the file that you attached earlier?

Then you should share exactly the model you are working with, or if you cannot, at least share a screenshot of it.

On more complex objects this takes some experimentation, and sometimes it does not work at all.

i usually Analyse  a model to see in what order the fillets have been applied. Then I try to remove them in reverse order.

Sure this is the model I am working on. It is a forging model of a lower receiver. I need to delete the fillets because I want to change the draft angle. I have tried all possible ways but I can't delete the fillets. Is there any way. I cannot share the model to maintain data privacy. 

Note: This model is an imported step file.

I think the fillets on his model are too complex to just delete.

You'll have to experiment with the untrim tool in the surface tab and then re-trim surfaces to get these sharp edges back.

That will be a lot of tedious work, but it can be done.

Use the imported as reference to remodel from scratch.

You will then have a fully parametric model that should be easy to edit.
