How to remove all joints

Hi,

I currently have an extremely complicated assembly which is formed through linked sub-assemblies. In total, there are 1568 components and each action is taking minutes to compute.

I realise that the main reason for this lag is due to the threaded screws (which I have removed) and the numerous number of joints. The model is complete and no longer needs to be edited but I still need to make drawings and due to the complexity,  unable to create section views.

Is there a way to remove all the joins but just rigid group everything in place as this would reduce the amount of computation required.

Thanks

If you delete the joints, things will move, there is no work around it

I'm not sure if this might help, but nevertheless, try suppressing the joints from the browser

I was fearing that would be the case. I've just tried suppressing but not really helping with the speed.

Do you know if it is possible to turn everything into a single component? Almost like boundary fill but for the entire assembly. I don't need the design history, component tree, or textures.

you can turn the history off.  once that's done you can remove joints if you need (may not need to anymore), everything will stay in place.

I've tried to do that by the turn off design history button is greyed out for some reason.

Simple noob logic
Export file as STEP it doesn't contain texture or joints
then reupload step into fusion 360

Worked for me many times
