how to model this with sheet metal

this is a bar stool and the ends are folded into a cylinder and the top is compressed

 

I am struggling curious how to model this with sheet metal

Fusion sheet metal will only work on developable surfaces.  These don't look like they are.

I agree with the comment below: you can only do the sheet metal design for developable surfaces.

I would make the product with surfaces and later use the  "thicken" command.

I am sure that this is a develop-able surface from the leg to the foot

 

maybe to top area which is compressed is not possible to simulate with sheet metal

Some reason I was thinking the leg was cylindrical, transitioning to conical as it approached the foot.  So the whole leg is basically a cylindrical section?

anything like this?

The indentation looks like a press stamping. You aren't going to get that out of F360's tool set. It can't do the deformation math beyond curvature in a single plane, such as a cylindrical or conical bend.

 

So while you can certainly MODEL that shape, even if you start with sheet metal and use a hybrid technique to achieve it, F360 will not be able to unfold it and give you a flat pattern.

 

Best scenario is to build it without the indentation, get your flat pattern, cut it out in the shop, and then stamp it.
