Hello! I would like to model a braided rope. It does not have to be functional but rather just have the appearance. Since what I want to make is a little more detailed than the picture I cannot juust make a pipe and try to make something work with adding custom appearances. I tried making a weave and bending it using unfolding and folding a sheet metal flange as is this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwvVqswWjfs&t=308s . But it didn't work. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!
