HI!
I have the body defined with the mesh. Now I want to give the thicknes of 0,2 mm to this mesh and obtain the shell. I tryed to do that but without the success.
How to do this?
I included the file with the mesh.
Thank you for the help.

Currently there is no way to do this with Fusion 360 alone.
The Mesh > Brep converter cannot convert it because of too many triangles.
Do you have a way to make this a quad based obj?

At the moment I don't know. I will see if I can make quad based object. The ship's form is made in DelftShip software.
(What is the meaning of "Brep"?)
Thank you for the advice.

As far as converting your mesh into quads try Momento. I think for what your doing it will work fine.

Momento wont work for what your trying to do, I just tried. You can convert it and get it into Fusion but you can't thicken the resulting body. I will try another trick when I get home.

Thank you Phil for your kindness and efforts to help me.
I bypassed the problem in the following way: I exported from DelftShip the hull's form in the DXF data file. Then imported these data into AutoCAD. The sections are defined with 3D polylines with a lot of control points. Then I made (by hand) the same sections using spline tool. It is possible to obtain the same line form with 10 spline control points like a line form defined with 500 3D polylines control points. The only problem is the fact that I need to use some time to do the job. When finished I will show the result here.

I'm glad you found a way to achieve your model. I'm looking forward to see your creation!
