How to import/place an .stp file

I downloaded an STP file for a screw from the manufacturer's website. I'm trying to insert it into my Fusion 360 design as a component or body, but I can't figure out if and how this is possible.

I was able to get it to show up in the dashboard with an upload, but I see no way to get it from the dashboard into the modeling environment. Is that currently possible at all?

Many thanks.  I'll be sure to further my knowledge on the difference then, as I wouldn't want to run into any problems later on!

I was in the wrong version of my project anyway, so now I will first fix a different problem I have with a constraint issue on another component, and then read up on the data panel, before inserting the .stp file.

If you go back and read the entire thread - this is a very very old discussion.

Fusion has changed.

It would probably be best to start  a new thread, describe what you want to do, and include a link back to this thread.

1. The license terms for Fusion 360 have changed.  Do you have free version or paid version?

2. The interface has changed.  CREATE is now a tab. (But I doubt it has any relevance to your intent.)

Can someone help me please? I can't find how to insert the VEX IQ parts. My Autodesk Fusion 360 does not have the same things that I have seen here. Here's a screenshot: Screenshot 2021-02-14 094025.png

It's usually better (as in easier to get answers) if you start a new post rather tack onto a 6 year old one.  more people will read your question.

but here goes-

-download the zip file of parts from vex iq

-unzip the files

-go to the "upload" button on your data panel and upload the files you want

-once the uploads are done, drag and drop into your model
