How to dimension a cone with a gauge plane in a drawing ?

How can I create a gauge plane in fusion 360 drawings to dimension a cone, as per textbooks.

I think the only way you can do this at the moment is to create another body with a face at the point you need the dimension.

A bit tedious however for a not so unusual need IMO.

A case for an additional feature request (I'm a new to fusion 360) ? Any chance it goes to development ?

Just tested and it seems to work but you might want to create a dedicated base view just for dimensioning the gauge plane.

At some point I think you will be able to use a sketch form the model environment and hopefully at some point we'll get sketch tools in the drawing environment for this sort of problem. See this post for a bit more info on what's planned for this.
