How to delete a face of a body

Hi everyone,

I am creating this part and have used shell, but there is still a face that I do not want on there.  I tried shell again on that face but it does not work.  Is there a method I can use that doesn't involve turning off history to delete the face?

You should be able to edit the Shell feature, hold down CTRL (CMD on Mac) and select another face to remove in the shell.  Here is an example on a very simple design:
