Hi,

I am working on this 3D model for a project. I want to create 3D models of insect legs (bee). I have a cross section picture, and normally I would just use revolve because I don't need it accurate but it is not symmetrical any advice would be very helpful and much appreciated. I am attaching picture below. I basically want a domed version of my trace. honey-bee-anatomy.jpegScreen Shot 2021-10-07 at 3.59.38 PM.png

Loft through the sections could work.  Search forum for ship hull lofting questions.  Strange as it may seem, it is the same process to loft from sections.

Hi, since you can't see any perspective from your pictures, it is better to mentally cut your legs and draw the cross-section. of course, guide rails are always a good option.
when all volumes have been created with loft and overlap then combine or construct ball joints. technically better, it is better to make two half-shells with a longitudinal groove and to keep the parts moving with a rubber band. "model: knee" br mango
