We are finally getting some models from manufacturers but unfortunately we need practice getting them cleaned up.

How to remove facet lines especially when the surfaces are flat?

See screen shot and attached file.

Try holding Control and press 4

will change to Shaded in Visual Display.

Or go to Direct Modelling and there is a Merge face routine.

Might help...

Thanks. shaded view works but I would to prefer shaded with edges. I can't seem to get Merge Edges to work.

After converting the Meshes to Surfaces - run the Stitch command.

Do you have access to AutoCAD?

Hi

This file is a mesh.

Go to the Mesh tab, Modify panel, Convert Mesh command, and use the Prismatic mode.

You will need to select elements in groups to create closed volumes for the individual solid bodies in this project.

Paradoxically, I think it will be faster to model it from scratch using the available geometry as a reference element.
