Okay, so I have recently been getting into 3d printing and 3d design. I am very new to it and have no idea how to use fusion360 or any 3d design program for that matter.
So my goal is to scan an object in real life, make a 3d model of it, then print it.
I was able to use recap and make the 3d model of the object:
Now i export it as STL and drop it into fusion 360:
So, how do I get rid off all the extra stuff and clean up the model?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Fusion is not the best tool for this task. Mesh mixer would work well. Or other mesh editing software.
you need to make sure the Mesh Preview preference is set, then edit the mesh feature, select the parts you want to delete, and delete it:
