How to align a square body to a round hole

I'm facing this problem again and again, but havent been able to find an easy solution without using joints.

I have two components - see picture.

One has a cylindrical hole. The other has a square rod that must be aligned in the hole. Furthermore the bottom face of the white box must be aligned with the top face of the green plate. The origins are positioned arbitrarily, so I cannot use the for alignment. Furthermore I'm unable to edit the component with the square rod - to insert geometry for aligment.

When they are in place, I lock them with a rigid-group - no moving parts.

How do I solve this?

Basically this is a model of a PCB and a downloaded step-file of a PCB-connector.

I hope that somebody can give me a clue - thank you😊

Best regards,

Carsten

This is a situation where you use the Align command twice, being careful where you select the alignment points.  The Screencast will show you how.

Next time you post a question that relates to a model like this, be sure to attach the model so the forum users do not have to model something themselves to provide the answer.  You will get a quicker answer and much more relevant.  If you do not know how to attach your model, open it in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save it to your hard drive.  Then use the Attachment section of a forum reply or post and attach it as shown.

Thank you very much for the explanation. Very clear and perfectly solves my problem - great help.

I didn't know that "align" could snap to centers. This will also help me in other design-situations.

Best reagrds,

Carsten
