How set distance between two parelle lines?

Greetings,
Im trying to figure out how to have a 8mm gap between these to sketches. I used parallel constraint on one section but get an error when I try to do it for other lines. or is there a way to set a dimension between two corners?

Delete the inside set of lines,

Use Sketch > Offset, and select the chain of lines you want, set the offset to +/- 8mm.

Might help....

While @Rohan.bongale answers your question about parallel line dimensions, I think you need to work on the model.  The corner angles and line lengths are not symmetrical in your model, but it's likely they should be.

@davebYYPCU tells how to create parallel lines at a known distance directly.  You can also edit the distance later if needed.

I suspect the dimensions are a little too precise to be true. I would round them to the nearest millimeter or degree (most likely 135).  You can make the sketch symmetrical by only drawing one side, then using the Mirror command.

The dimension measuring the length of the angled line can't be easily measured on the factory floor.  It would be better to dimension the horizontal and vertical lines (along with the angle) which are all easily measured.

Also, see Rule#1.
