how do you create a assembly and how do you ad component to a assembly

ok in solidwork you can create a assembly by create  a new one .or click on a component and make assembly fom it . then ad component from a folder . or exiting component from draging from on window to another . fusion 360 assemble menu only have the option to create a new component . and how do you make a assembly in the first place . and the the fusion 360 tutorial they show you how to join parts , but all the part are alredy in the same window . but how those part get there in the firt place ????? not very enteligent tutorial !!

If you already have to mention "not enteligent" in conjunction with Fusion 360 it would probably not be a bad idea to try spell checking it and the rest of your post before  clicking on the send button 😉

 

Now that we've got that covered, if you go to the "Learn" section and click on "Additional Tutorials", there is a section that explains the differnece beween bodies and components in Fusion 360  After creating a Component you can simply drag and drop that component into another one. The icon of the upper level component will change to indicate that it's now an assembly.

 

Also, please keep Fusion 360 R.U.L.E #1 in mind: Before doing anything, create a component and make sure it's activated.

If you search the forum for R.U.L.E youl find posts of what avantages that has. I am not the most skilled typist and my fingers are tired 😉
