I've seen several videos showing a menu item in the contextual or right click menu where in previous versions you could add a point. I'm using version .19 and that menu item is GONE, and I cannot find anywhere else where you can add a point, and this is the critical part, a point that will actually affect the curvature of the spline. I have been able to add a point by going into line mode and choosing point, but the point created is automatically constrained to the line's path, can't affect the curvature at all, and when I remove the constraint, it detaches itself from the line completely,

I do not know of a Fusion 360 version called .19. The current version is 2.0.11186. Anyway, the ability to add spline fit points is on the right click menu after you highlight the fit point spline. Take a look at the Screencast.

Timeline on?
Edit the sketch that owns the spline - select the spline and right click for the option in the menu,
still works for me in a 2d sketch.
3d Sketch - Not sure as I rarely use them.
Might help....
Thank you John, I was thinking of FreeCad .19. You're right, I'm on the current version of Fusion, ( it updates automatically as far as I can tell) at any rate as I follow your screencast and do exactly what you do, this is the menu I get ( see screenshot below ) as you can see, I don't have the same menu choices in the contextual menu that you do.
Select the spline - turns and stays as dark blue - that you wish to modify.
Might help....
I have read about various causes for what you show such as using a special tablet for input and also it being cause by use of High DPI graphics. Are you missing other right click context menus? It seems to be a graphics issue, go to the "?" icon and do a Graphics Diagnostic and see it you have some issues.
