How do I undo Create Group in the feature tree

After I create a group, there's no way to undo it, or rather, to ungroup. Worse, there's no way to move a more-forward feature/sketch/body into a group that's been created. Am I not supposed to use the Create Group feature?

Nevermind, figured it out. It's unintuitive, IMO.

Right click on the group, and click Delete

then delete just the group and expand its contents

It's not obvious that there are options after "Delete." It's not something someone would naturally press.

Recommendation: Create new button that says "Ungroup" or change menu title to "Delete..."

Either way, when I have a group, I should be able to move a feature to inside a group, rather than, delete entire group, move feature, create group. That's 6 clicks when it should be 1.

Thanks for this. I definitely wouldn't have tried deleting the group to "ungroup", that is not intuitive to me. Seems like most programs with a group function also have an ungroup.

Thanks for the solution to ungroup.

But I don't succeed to move a function or sketch into a group already created, or from a group into another one, even if is not due to moving the sketch before a link for example a projection.

So to do that I "ungroup" the 2 group, move my sketch and then recreate the group.

Is there a better way?

Thank in advance for your help

unfortunately, no, today there is no better way to "edit" a timeline group.  I'd like to have a better way, myself.

@jeff_strater

Any update on expanded functionality of the group command? I recently started using this to clean up a fairly lengthy timeline and it would be super helpful if I could drag new features into a previously created group without deleting and trying to capture all the associated features again in one shot.

I also agree that delete probably isn't the best name for the "ungroup" command. Maybe something more along the lines of "dissolve group" or "manage group" with an additional options menu.

no change yet, unfortunately.  Still on the large "to do" list...

Hi @Anonymous . Thanks for the solution, I was looking for this as well. Very untuitive indeed.

Just an 'Ungroup' button would be great, maybe? @Fusion team.

Also being able to group inside of a group could be nice too, wouldn't it?
