How do I turn this object into a sphere shape?

There is a round object I am attempting to make sort of like a egg but with more adjustments to certain sides. I made the object how I liked it to come out in sketch but than I guess I was expecting for the object to come out in the sphere form I am looking for but it just has two faces and gave me the middle of the object. How can I turn the object so there are not any faces and it is round like the whole object being a sphere.

Cut the sketch in half, and Revolve it around the centre line.

You don't revolve already extruded shape. You revolve half the sketch profile INSTEAD OF extruding it.
