How do I thicken a sketch line?

I want to put a slight raised line on top of this rectangle.

While I'm at it, how do I make a sketch line just for reference?

Thanks!

Are you trying to do something like this?

If so, I would recommend using the sketch offset tool in the sketch menu. Select the line you have, choose the offset distance and accept. If desired, do it again and offset in the opposite direction. Then you can extrude the new profile to get the result above.

To make a sketch line, make a new sketch (create sketch -> select a face), select the sketch line tool, then select the start and end points.

@mstrater

The OP posted the same question twice in two different threads. I answered it in his other thread, using a slightly different method. I guess you didn't notice that other thread. Can they be merged into one?

Oops. I was just looking at unanswered questions, so I didn't notice. I don't think we can merge threads, but please feel free to add a link here to your response. Thanks for helping out!

Edit: I see you already have a link. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, this community is amazing!   Sorry for the double post, I'm not a stranger to forums, but not sure how I pulled that off.
