How do I protect my files when I go from Trail to Purchase?

I have been working with the Trial version of Fusion 360 and am about to purchase. I cannot find any information about how to protect my existing files. As far as I can tell, my files live on a cloud server somewhere. I see some references to mapping a disk drive on my computer, but I can't find any information anywhere. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

Hey vspd1, thanks for reaching out! Can you clarify for me what you mean by protecting your files? Are you trying to save it locally to your machine or are you asking how safe are you files being stored online?

Hi and thanks for responding. I am not worried about cloud-based data. I assume that it is kept in a fault-tolerant system, etc. When I went to purchase Fusion 360, an online chat person indicated that I should have all my files copied to my computer, but was not able to tell me how this is accomplished. That led to lots of searching with no answers. I just don't want all my files to evaporate when I switch over from the trial version of the software.

Got it - here's how to save locally.

The easiest way to do this is to open the design you'd like to save - go to the 3 bar menu at the top left corner of the window, and choose Save Archive. This will allow you to save the design you currently have open straight to your computer.

Does this help?

The version of Fusion 360 I have (2.0.1045) does not have an Export Archive command. I saw somewhere on a message board that it had "disappeared" and was supposed to be restored. Am I running an obsolete version? BTW, I am on a 27" quad-core iMac i7 with 16GB RAM.

2.0.1045 is the latest version. Make sure you have the design opened in the modeling environment - Export Archive should show up there.

OK. The Export Archive shows up when a file is open. One last question: Does each file have to be archived individually? Or, is there a global command? Thanks very much for your help.

Unfortunately you'll have to export archive each design individually.

I've passed this request to our developer, maybe we can support Save All Files together in future.

Thanks your comments.
