how do i disassemble components?

i have an imported component that has like 9000 bodies... fusion 360 says it has 9000+ bodies, and i would like to dissasemble it, or be able to modify the bodies individually.... 

from what i have read on forums i saw that i should upload the file (it is a non-functional replica firearm, just a warning if anyone doesnt want to see it)

attached are the files, so someone can inspect if there is something wrong or anything....

Can you get a STEP (*.stp) rather than IGES (*.igs) file?

I found multiple issues with the surface bodies.

If I had to convert the IGES - I would segregate the surface bodies into logical Components and the Stitch them into solids.  It would probably take about a week of effort.
