How do I combine these two sketches to make it 3D?

I have been trying to figure out how I can make a model where these two sketches intersect.  The closest I can get is extruding one, then extruding (cut) the other sketch through the first, but it only extrudes the outline of the second.  See picture.  I've tried creating another plane to project the "back" sketch on to the angled face of the "top" view, but I'm over my head.  The picture shows the shape I want, but its hollow, like a cookie cutter.  I want it solid.  Please help?  @seth.madore

Hi,

One way you can make this shape solid is to create a sketch on the face of the shape.

Project Body and select the shape.

This should now make an outline of the body in your sketch.

Finish sketch and extrude the inside of the sketch and make sure you set it to Join.

And you end up with one single solid body in the shape you want.

Cheers

Hi,

Is that what you want to achieve?

Hi! The second Extrusion is thin so that only the wall is retained. If you don't want the hollow, edit the second Extrusion and select the regular solid Extrude. Or use Delete -> select the interior faces.

Many thanks!
