How can I pattern Joint Components along path

Hello,

I have created a two chain link components, they are joint with a revolute join.

I want to pattern it along a path to create a motorcycle chain.

There are 54 of them in the path. Is there a way to pattern them along the path having them joint together?

Component Joints cannot be patterned.  After patterning the chain links, the assembly joints will have to be applied or re-applied.  The Screencast will show that existing joints are eliminated between individual components during the patterning.  On the other hand, if you pattern a complete assembly, with joints, the joints are maintained within each complete assembly.

Thank you.

In that case, I still have to link those joints manually, or maybe I will make a component with 10 joints, and pattern it.

No, you can create an ASSEMBLY on all the links in the chain in the correct position using joints.  This assembly can then be duplicated using the pattern command.  Each of the patterned assemblies will be free to move about except for the original assuming it was fix in place using joints.
