I have a small hobby knife set. in a small case The case latch never worked and then the hinge failed. Thought I could 3D print a replacement and thought the design process would be a good learning experience in Fusion. The hinge was a bit tedious and I redid the sketch a couple of times. Also trying to separate the design into components may not have been done logically. Perhaps the hinge should have been a third component or perhaps the hinge parts should have been a part of the corresponding components.
At any rate when I extrude the hinge parts I get these red lines and I don't know what they mean nor how to get rid of them.
Thanks!
the red lines show up where there is an adjacent profile that is not selected. The intention is to bring these to your attention in case you really meant to also select the adjacent profiles.
For this case, I have no idea why the red lines have popped up. I saw something similar lately in another thread and am questioning whether it is a bug.

I'm going to look at your file and compare it to another, but I could be wrong about the bug but even still if I see the same thing I'll call jeff.
I believe this is a bug, for some user's since the November update with these red lines...
no issue as seen in screenshot above...
can you check if this is reproducable on your end?

could help with what jhackney did...
Hi,
The red lines indicate adjacent profiles that are suitable for extrusion.
However, it is important to constrain the position of the sketch of the hinge profile in relation to the boxes using projections.

Note: I have not updated all the extrusions for the modified sketch.
