How can I extrude a sketch through the spinner component

I am attaching a file showing my backplate/spinner. I have sketched the shape of the propellor cutout on one side
(it has to have a mirrored image on the opposite side)

My problem is when I attempt to extrude the shape to cut the spinner, I get a warning telling me there is no body to cut. If I activate the spinner, I cannot see the shape to extrude.

Extrude needs a sketch profile, 

made one for you, 

Not mirror - Circular pattern > Feature - for the other side.

Sketch the rc prop cut shape on the Origin.

Extrude the shape to cut one side.

Circular Pattern > Feature > Exttrude Cut (select it off the timeline) > around Origin Axis > count 2.
