Solved: How can I cut / remove a section in a 2d or 3d drawing and rejoin the remaining parts?

Hi, I have produced a 3d drawing and printed out the file to see if everything fits but I need to remove a 2.5mm section but I don't know how to do this.

I have attached a screen grab to show the bit I need to remove, Can anyone help as I am very new to this?

OK, I have managed to remove the unwanted section but I am now stuck on how to "join" the remaining two parts !!

Any ideas guys?

Are you referring to the Design Model environment or a 2D Drawing environment? You use the word "drawing" is a little vague.

If you are in the Modeling environment, after you remove the section you desire, you can move the bodies back together and use the Combine command to return it to one solid.
