OK, I'm new at this (I recently got a FlashForce Creator Pro) so please be gentle! A friend is building a model of a 1950’s B-36 bomber and I’m trying to make a MK-17 nuclear weapon for him. I have the fin shape modeled OK, but when I try to combine the fins and the rear cylinder of the bomb casing it creates a fin shaped hole through the cylinder with the fins barely attached.
I’ve tried:
- Move the fins up to the cylinder. Leaves fin shaped cavities in the cylinder with the fins hanging on for dear life.
- Move slightly wider fins up, but they actually extend into the cylinder. Still leaves the cavity.
- Used the Pull function on fins so they will extend clear through the cylinder and out the other side, using two fins as an “X”. This was partially successful, one set of fins (call it horizontal) merged properly and is a solid part of the cylinder, but the vertical fins did not & leave a slot across the cylinder.
How can I attach the fins and have them become one with the cylinder?
Thanks,
Doug
