Hi - new/green.
Learning.
Have created a part - but no matter what I do, can not get the holes that I sketch - to extrude as through holes.
When I use the hole tool in the body (after extruding the body), the holes show a surface at their bottom - again not going all the way through the part.
Looking for help learning how to get the circles I draw to extrude through the part.
I've attached the file itself.
Thanks.

You did a thin extrude on the circles which won't give you a hole. The hole tool works fine when you reverse the direction:
Normal extrude also works fine:

Delete the orange extrude Icon from the Timeline.
Hide the Main Body. (eyeball)
Hide all sketches except sketch 3.
Select the Blue Solid Extrude tool,
Select the four profiles, big one was cut in half,
Extrude up - turn on the main body eyeball, and change "New Body" to Cut.
Works as expected.
Thanks Dave - I attempted but got same results.
Suspect it is your final line: Turn on "New Body" and select cut.
I now have 4 bodies showing, and I am not sure how to change something to "cut"
I've attached so you can see the steps I took.
Did I misunderstand/miss something?
Thanks,
Thanks.
I was able to make that work with the hole tool.
Not sure why I struggled doing same yesterday. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Questions:
- Is there a means to ensure that the hole I am placing sits exactly on top of the existing circles I had drawn? Seams to not have a strong snap function.
- Do I need to delete the original circles or turn them into construction lines to avoid confusing my cutting program?
Thank you.
The extrude and hole tools will be exactly on the selected geometry. Why do you think the holes are not?
Here are your current settings for the hole extrude:
Here's what they should be:
Note: The last item in the timeline should be deleted or removed.

Got it. Thank you.
1. It's not that I was sure the holes were not exactly on top of the geometry I wanted. It was that I was concerned that they might be "very close" but then cause issues when I output G code to cut the part. I wanted to ensure when placing/using the hole tool, I am doing the right thing to get them dead nuts centered.
2. The command I was not aware of/understanding was the toggled "cut" command. I've circled here. Now I can see why I was struggling. Helpful. Thanks.
