Hexagonal mesh appearance on revolved body

The revolved body causes the hexagon mesh apperance to be applied along the line of the revolved body. This is expected behaviour but my question is, how can I create this body in such a way that when applying the hexagon mesh then it will appear like it would when applied to a regular body as seen on the screencast?

Would appreciate some ideas please.

Fusion 360 makes some assumptions on how to map a texture onto a body based on it's main shape.

You can override that by finding the body in question in the  viewport, or browser, right-clicking on it and selecting "texture map controls"

In this case you may want to change it from "Automatic" to "Planar"

@TrippyLighting thank you for your insight. Never used texture map controls before, what an awesome feature. Changing to planer made no difference but choosing box did the trick. Thanks.

You need to pick an axis perpendicular to the disc surface, then it'll work.
