Im new to 3D printing and recently downloaded this ripped game model file to edit. I was when I try cutting into it with the extrude tool I'm told no target body is found. I was able to cut the file with a plane cut already below the neck, but wish to cut it some more. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks for your answer.
What I understand of it
( I do not import stl file)
For creating the asymatric holes
1 Use the insert - insert mesh from the insert menu and make sure you bring it in as units to units import bring a model in cm only.
2 Turn off Capture Design History.
3 The design history does not have to be turned off to convert a mesh into a BRep.
After importing the mesh with “Insert->Mesh” “Create->Base feature”.
‘When in the base feature, select the mesh, right-click and select “Convert BRep”.
Then finish the base feature.
Now you can try to work on the object with the normal tools in Fusion 360. Mostly that isn’t a good idea!
@Anonymous Can you elaborate on the purpose of your post ? It looks to me you copy/pasted the text my post into this thread. Please refrain from doing that in the future!
Importing this as a triangulated mesh into Fusion 360 is complete nonsense. With 30-60 minutes of work in Blender (tris to quads and some manual cleanup work) this can be imported as a quad mesh and converted into a T-Spline yielding superior quality.
Here is an example of what I mean with superior results. Not a single facet in sight 😉
