Hi,
I am making (hopefully making) a hinge design, with a cylindrical post. See Pics. My very crude design has the hinge part some square or rectangular, and the post part which sticks out, is the cylinder.
QUESTION 1: Although this crude design works....I want to morph the base or the hinge part into the cylinder part. How can I do that?
QUESTION 2ish: Any tutorial videos on how to make this type of hinge? The post is going to "hold" something that weights 2 pounds or less. I want to 3D print it. How do I make the outer hinge part? What should I use as a hinge pin? If I'm making this with 3D plastic, do I emphatically need an insert?
