Help with getting Text to work.

I haven't used the Text tool in a while but it worked great then.
Today I go to add text to a model and it's different. Cool. But when I make a text box, there is no option to actually create text like on the video
You can see in the pic below that I have created a text box but then that's it. Nada.
What am I missing/doing wrong here?

Thanks,

Allan

There have been some reports that the text dialog box does not show up after selecting the text box points.  I think, cannot find the article, that this has been mostly reported by users operating on a MAC.  Is this your case.  One solution I read about was to sketch a line and use the second command to place text on a path, then you can suppress the path sketch.

I'm on a PC.
Odd, I just was able to successfully make a text box on one plane but not the one I need to make one on.
Funny thing is that it ALWAYS worked before. 😕

Can you attach your model so I can take a look?

Please indicate the plane you want to place text on, but could not.

Sorry, I deleted that.
By accident all I saw was your top line in your signature ("If you find my answer solved your question, please select the Accept Solution icon") and was thinking, "That's not a solution" haha!
My apologies.

The plane that says "Garage Door Freespace" is the plane that I was trying to use a text box.

Thanks for explaining, I understand your reasoning.  It is odd that the Text command, using two point text box works for me.  I am also on Windows 10 with a rather old PC.

Well, thank you for trying. I restarted Fusion (as a last ditch effort) and I get the same thing. 😕

Not helpful in what way?  You did not attach your model or fully explain what you need.  I took a guess and create a short video to show the use of the Text Command.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Are you in an active sketch?
