Can you do this...I have been trying but can not get the text to select in the emboss command.

I can explode text....I can fix and un fix text.

I can thin extrude text but i can not emboss (i need to deboss simplex text)

The reason I want simplex text am I have only a very small spot to engrave on.  And the double line text ends up with two lines the just fill with dirt right away.

Component cnc base HR:1 Sketch is called text.

Simplex Text is a single line text, it has no profile, so you cannot use it with the Emboss command.  As you have already found out, you can only Extrude it with the Thin Extrude command because of the same reason.

I believe this is the same model, and question, you have submitted before.  Use an Offset Surface and then Thin Extrude to the surface to the values you want.  Then use the offset surface to Split the letter bodies, then highlight the bodies, above the surface in the Browser, right click and Remove them.  Turn off the Offset Surface visibility or Remove it.  Model attached.
