Help with alignment

Hello world, I'm a new user of fusion and cad in general . The issue i'm having is trying to aligning the top and bottom pieces with the outer three hole on the base and bottom of the object so i may insert 3 brass tubes 3.18 mm into the holes after its 3d printed.

After many hours searching trying to figure out how to get them aligned I am stumped .

I don't think it's possible to align the holes as they are not identically spaced.

Here's a couple of screenshots showing the bottom with 3 tubes extruded to the bottom face:

I'm assuming the bottom (blue) component has fixed holes that can't be moved.  If so, create a sketch on its bottom face.  If necessary, project the three holes from the component to the sketch. Extrude those three holes through the upper component after deleting the holes in the upper component.

See Rule #1 for organizing your project and workflow.  It's usually not a good idea to delete sketches.  Currently, there's nothing in the sketches to show how the parts were created.

Converting the bodies to components will allow you to easily align them using joints.

Hi Doug,

a request for the next post:
Don´t set a link but upload the file directly. This is easier for us to handle.

File > export > save as f3d locally > attach it to the next post.

thank you
