Who turned off the History?

You?

Should have gotten a warning...

Can you Undo back to where there was still a history on the Timeline?

Can you Open an earlier version?

I can turn it back on

But the problem was say I increase the diameter of the hole cut out, it only increased the sketch not the actual hole

Not - turn it back on - get back to a state before it was turned off.

Otherwise you might as well do this part over (fortunately it is a simple part).

Edit: I started to remodel the part for you - and noticed that some of your dimensions do not make logical sense?

When did you turn it off?

If you turned it off in this session of Fusion, then click Undo until it comes back with list of sketches and features on the Timeline.

If you turned it off in earlier session of Fusion, then open an earlier version of the file from the Data Panel.

You shouldn't have to ask this question.

The answer is - sort of (technically yes now) - but it doesn't matter as at some point it was turned off and all history destroyed.

I have opened a previous version. Where do I turn it on?

Please I wanna apologise in advance if it seems like a dumb question but I am new to fusion 360. I used solidworks for 5 years. It is very different to fusion

If the features are not on your Timeline in earlier version - you will have to start over.

Actually Fusion is the same as SolidWorks in this respect (feature history vs base solid).

When you remodel this from scratch - you will want to make sure each sketch element is fully defined - no blue geometry - just like in SolidWorks...

Use the BORN Technique and Fusion will be just like in SolidWorks.

Okay but the problem now is

How do I solve this particular problem? It might be a setting on the software that I am using

Make sure that you are capturing design history.

There are two ways...

Set in your Preferences to always capture design history

or

right click at the top of the browser...

History.png

If at any time you are tempted to turn this off - STOP - and ask questions first.

I really and truly appreciate. You are a  genius.

Yes, that solved my problem. I should have that turned on at all times, that way I can edit the sketch and it updates the geometry.

Again thank you.
