Help me Extend a Cylinder Using Sculpting Tools

I can use Fusion 360 well enough to make parts with a lot of straight lines and circles in them, but making parts with irregular shapes is eluding me.

I checked out a Youtube video which showed how to use the sculpting tools, and I tried to do some of the things it suggested. The guy in the video created a cylinder and then extended it, using an arrow that automatically appeared on the axis.

I created a cylinder, and I got no arrow. Someone somewhere suggested hovering and waiting for the arrow to appear. I got nothing.

Also, the cylinder the instructor made appeared solid. I got something that looked like a crude wire frame.

What am I doing wrong?

Now I'm sorry I asked. I just turned the program on again, and now it works perfectly.

I'm having the exact same issue as you, restarted the program, but still not getting the arrows

In that case, perhaps make a screencast so we have a chance to see what is not working for you.
