Help learning how to patch and repair broken models

I had this problem before and posted here with a different model. Can someone again help me to repair and patch this broken model?

Would it possible to do a screencast tutorial? i want to learn to do this myself but seem to have trouble finding any references online to this problem.

Do you have a picture of what it is suppose to look like after it is repaired?  

Edit: Since you did not respond with a picture of what it was suppose to look like as a body, I guessed.  There is a Section Analysis in the model to assist your inspection.  Model is attached.  If it is correct, I will show you how.  Let me know.
