Hello,

I am new to fusion and I am having trouble adding a fillet around the handle part of this watering can I designed. Every time I try I get the following

"Error: The fillet/chamfer could not be created at the requested size.
Try adjusting the size, deselecting some of the edges (try disabling Tangent Chain), or using multiple separate operations."

I have tried adjusting every setting and have tried doing it in parts but I still run into the same error. Is anyone able to understand what the problem is and how I may correct it?

I've also linked my fusion file if anyone can check it out and see for themselves.

Thank you.

Yep, and it's never going to the way you created the T-Spline.

1. Triangles are evil! Do not use triangles in T-Spline based designs. Stick to quads.

2. Polygons with 5 sides are OK, but still, stick to quads.

3. Model at least half the time in Box view mode. Best is to only use smooth mode to check results. If the model in Box mode does not somewhat resemble what you are trying to model, then you need to add geometry (edge loops,, polygons). If you need to stretch polygons too much to achieve the shape you are looking for then you also need more geometry.

4. Use creasing as the last resort and only apply it as the last step in modeling.

Oh I see, thank you for that insight. I just jumped into this project and started in sculpture mode, I kept editing/pulling faces into the desired shape I wanted, I see now thats probably not the best way to go about it. I will try remodelling with your approach.

Thanks!
