Hey there, My first post here so go easy on me. I usually like to figure things out on my own, and would really like to learn from this experience (would like to resolve myself or see a video of how it is done). I have spent a few hours now (built the model a couple different ways) trying to figure out how to model the nose of this object properly.
I have watched about 30 youtube videos hoping to catch someone doing something similar but am struggling to find out how to do it properly.
I am trying to model this battery holder for my minelab etrac.
I am struggling with how to remove the material with the taper above and below it. It leaves an overhang on both objects (as it should). I wondered if there is a way to resolve this. I may be going about this the wrong way.
I think I may have answered my own question (after thinking about it and posting these pictures lol). Am I correct in thinking that I should attack it from this angle?
I am guessing I should attack it from a side profile like this? I will try that now. In the meantime I like to learn new techniques so if there is a way to make it work with my current model I would love to know.
Thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate any help or tips you can provide.
Neil
