harmonic resonance of the structure or resonate frequency of the structure

I am looking for a way to calculate the harmonic resonance of the structure or resonate frequency of the structure...

Is there a way to do that in Fusion? or any other application....

I have designed a ribbon microphone in fusion and had it printed in metal on shapeways. Turned out very nice. We had it tested, but it needs some adjusting to ring at a different frequency. We could change things and reprint, but at $320 a pop thats not really an option for us. If we can get close to our ideal resonance then we can reprint. If there is a way to select different materials and test for the harmonics of that material and for the existing shape that would be ideal.

Thanks in advance of course. Here is a picture of the printed ribbon microphone.

Thanks for the tag @TrippyLighting

Eric...I have a course specifically on this topic and some free spots open...just use the link below.

https://www.udemy.com/fusion-360-simulations-modal-frequencies-analysis/?couponCode=RELEASEPARTY1Q18

This covers the theory and math behind a modal analysis and resonance while also walking through the specific steps for the simulation. If you have any questions afterward just let me know!

As a side note, typically a modal analysis and harmonic analysis are 2 separate things. The modal analysis just finds frequencies, whereas the harmonic will take into account damping to provide stress, deformation...etc values. Fusion 360 can do modal but not harmonic.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Much appreciated. I guess I need to figure out exactly what I need here..I am working on that.

@eric_strebel , feel free to ask any other questions as they come up. I know its a steep learning curve to get into simulations so we will help where possible.

What is your end goal?
