group sketches

Hi,

I guess it is not possible to group sketches at the moment.

But this is a feauture that would be very helpful.

I have 200 parts and need to make a unique dxf-file from every projetec part(sketch).

That means that I will need to scroll down a list of 200 scetches every time that I create a new file.

Is there a workaround?

Please check my screencast.

Regards.

You're right, you can't group sketches. But talking about parts... You should apply Rule #1 to your designs and things get a lot cleaner.

Hi lichtzeichenanlage

Thanks for you reply and the rule nr 1.

I also had the solution with components in mind and a good reminder that the scetches is saved within that component. That creates a little bit cleaner look.

When I created the model from a T-spline it resulted in 200 parts that I needed to sort in groups.

Instead of using groups I can use Components.

Thanks for that easy advice and solution.

But sorting scteches into groups could be a great feauture. Also sorting body's by nam-eorder. For example:

1

2

3

4

etc.

HAve a great day!

Regards.

Joel

Sure, groups are useful and should be present on so many levels and not only in the timeline like it is today.

Yeah, the feature is missing.

I have 300 scetches in my project now. That is because I need to make a DXF-file for each part. I try to delete the scetches when I have projected them and saved the dxf file but it is risky to delete scetches. It can mess up the project.

It also takes away focus on the workflow and the process to not be able to group scetches. I like to work fast.

So to the developers of Fusion360 - Please add this simple feature. It would be great.

Check out the Addin called DXFer, on GitHub,

will save in one dxf file all the faces you select, on separate layers or as separate blocks.

I can't live without it now.
