Group Components in an Assembly Design

In the new Assembly Design workflow, I've not found a way to create folders or groups of components in the browser. Am I missing something, or does this necessarily require a Hybrid Design flow?

In my example case, I'd like to group all the screws in a folder for clarity.

The only way I know of at this time is to create a new sub-assembly, activate it (edit in place) and then place your fasteners into it.  They will still be available to use in the Assembly.  In my picture below I did this for a few of my Pin Sleeves as an example.  Would be a nice feature to have.

Long time user here trying to make "intent driven" design work for me. I would have sworn I did this just a few weeks ago, but now try as I might, I cannot move components into another component.

  • I have tried both Hybrid and assembly components for the container
  • I have made sure the new container component is saved.
  • I have tried creating the container component both before and after the part components
  • I have made sure the container component is open for edit in place

every time I try to drag a part in, nothing happens.

Hoping for suggestions

Yeah, that thread was cold, so I started my own “VERY Stuck on Intent driven design - can't break links, can't copy or move component into another hybrid component”

At the moment, I think I’m looking at a bug and possibly something corrupted in my file. I’ve come up with a workaround for the “undocumented feature?” (Break link doesn’t work within subassemblies). Moving components into other components seems to work in test files, but not in the design I’m working on.
