glass render problem

Hello,

Please see the image attached. I'm not able to render the glass in a proper way. Before the glass was touching the surface and then I moved the glass 1 mm far from the top but same result.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi @pivetta.n.

Do you have other any duplicated bodies?

Have you set a new Dielectrics Priority Control? There are instructions in the article's last section:

How to create realistic renderings with transparent materials

Instead of moving the entire glass body up 1mm you only moved the top face up 1mm.

If you correct that it'll work 😉

Thanks @TrippyLighting,

hanks for helping.

All done for that glass, so I did the same for an other coffee table, but the problem moved. See the images attached: before and after. The glass was touching the top where I have polygons on the top part of the glass and when I lift up the glass of 1 mm now I have the poligons on the edge of the glass.

Ia m not sure what you did. Either you applied different glass materials to different faces, or you modified one of the existing glass materials (nothing has zero roughness!)

If I use one of the standard Glass materials things work fine.

Then, as should be obvious if you read my previous replies, please share the model in original .f3d format!
