Give outside lattice to my mesh

Hi Guys,

I've been attempting to give my mesh file a lattice pattern for a while, but I keep failing. Using the volumetric lattice tool in F3D, I was able to provide an infill pattern inside my mesh, but I was unable to do the same outside. My mesh would benefit from having a lattice pattern, such as a voronoi or anything else. After it is 3D printed, I want to make the mesh lighter. If I put a lattice design inside in my MJF printer, the powder will stay inside, but I need all of the powder to come out. I would really appreciate it if someone could assist me in solving this problem.

Additionally, I'm looking to see if I can reduce the weight of my mesh by adding a lattice between the surfaces. All ideas are welcomed! Thank you much!

I have attached my stl below, and also a picture from google to give an idea about what I am looking for

Thank you so much!!

did you make the original shapes in fusion? would be better to attach the fusion file (export as a .f3d). working with the shapes after mesh conversion complicates things

Unfortunately, I did not make the original files in fusion 360. I only have the stl files I tried converting it to solid to make the working easier but I couldn't convert it to a solid body too. The maximum I could do was to get  a solid surface body.

doing anything with the mesh file in fusion will not likely bear fruit.

it wouldn't be particularly difficult to remake this in fusion fairly closely. it may not end up exact, but you can get pretty dang close.

I also think doing a better job of defining just what your after would be helpful. keep you from going down the wrong rabbit hole.
if you're not interested in re-modeling in fusion, then I would suggest learning how to use a software designed for meshes. my choice is blender, but there are others that would do.

Yes, I will try to use some other software. Thank you!!
