Does anyone has a gestures list for Fusion 360 ? How it can be customized?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I don't understand what you mean by gestures ... Is it something like a quick access menu?

If you press the "S" key from the keyboard, you will see a quick access menu that can be customized

If I'm misunderstanding what you need, then please attach a picture or any example that can help

No, there are certain mouse gestures for example when sketching that invoke commands like line or dimension.

Hi, welcome to the Fusion 360 community.

I think there is some confusion about your request. Can you please clarify? Plenty of people here want to help.

When I first read your post, I thought you may have meant this: trackpad gestures. Perhaps that was it?

As,it pertains to the touchpad gestures, the pivoting works very well, the pan is too slow but somewhat workable, the pinch/spread zoom is extremely laggy and ruins the otherwise great experience.

Hello thanks for the greetings !

I think I'm cheating on something in the attachment you can see a video of the "gestures". I don't use the keyboard I just keep right click and make some moves fast, the easyest one is the line command keep right click while going down with the mouse (fast). Another is the circle, you can select it drawing a "V" in the same way

Those are not cheating! 🙂

However, to answer your question, there is no way to customize those menus at this time.

When you use a regular right mouse click, you'll see the menus. When you "gesture" simply try to land on the spot where your favorite commands are. You've already figured out a few it seems! Good work.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

I assumed he is talking about the "mouse gestures".

It is shown  how to activate various tools by different Gestures in the video:

I tried to google the Gestures List. But it seems they don't have any official document abt it.

This is so useful.  Why would anyone not use this aside from not knowing how to or that it existed? I'd love to see more stuff like this.  In 3dsMAX 20 years ago you could program mouse gestures to activate commands, why is this functionality not present in this era?

@heechong

The gestures are associated with what is called the Marking Menu.

From the help library:

Here is a video all about the marking menu.

And here is a text page describing the marking menu.

Hello;

Is there any way to use the Marking Menu gestures using a MacBook touchpad?

As it involves keeping the "right button" depressed, I cannot find a way to do it.

I found a detailed video here at 3:30:

Thanks for asking. There isn't a way to use the gestures without a mouse.

Hi all!

I was wondering if there is a way to find out if there are plans to customize the gesture list in Fusion 360s future development. Think it would be greatly of use!

Kind regards,

Dan

Thanks.

There is no plan currently to customize this menu. The request is logged as an improvement ticket.

Currently, the only on demand customizable menu is the Design Shortcuts menu that appears when you press the letter S.
