Game driver ??

Hello,

I had some performance issues and have purchased a video card for Fusion 360. It's a PNY nVidia Geforce GT 730. As I installed the drivers it gave me the option of installing a "gaming" driver. I did so. As I watched, it uninstalled the first driver the CD installed. Should I remove this gaming driver and reload the first one? I'm trying to get better response with a detailed drawing. Moving the part around and such gets slow.

Thanks!

You should try the most current driver available from NVIDIA's website. The below web page will automatically scan and detect for you.

http://www.nvidia.com/download/scan.aspx?lang=en-us

How much dedicated memory does the card have? You may run the Graphics diagnostics command from the help drop down menu to find out.

Another Windows tip.. if you have multiple graphics cards installed on the system, you may need to select which graphics processor to use at start up. To do this right click on the launch icon and select run with graphics processor....

Run with high performance graphics processor.png

You can also see my tip in the below thread about how to configure the visual effects in the Windows OS for performance.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

This post was originally made in 2015, which means that this graphics driver is probably quite outdated.  It might be time to look into upgrading as Fusion has gotten more powerful in the years since then.  Good luck.

It probably would have been best to start a new discussion thread with a link back to this thread for reference.

I doubt the issue is with your graphics card/driver.

Attach example files here that you are having issues with and explain the issues.

I would estimate that 9/10 problems reported here are issues with modeling technique.
