Hi @EdDRM,

Sorry to hear that is happening to you! I am assuming this happens when you try to launch the Desktop Icon? Can you please try the following and let me know if it works:

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • In the directory line (not the search bar) type the following
    • %localappdata%/autodesk
  • Open Webdeploy, and then the production folder.
  • In this folder should be a lot of alphanumeric folders (there will be more if you have had the program installed for a while)
  • Sort the folders by date and open the msot recent one.
  • In there should be a file called Fusion360.exe. Double-click it and see if Fusion runs now.

If that workaround works, can you either post here or private message me your Windows Profile name. For example, mine is James Computer.

Thanks,

I would love to but I have no idea what "the directory line" is.

Hi @EdDRM,

Sorry about that! Guess my screenshot didn't go through. Just ignore the big red box highlighting the autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log file. The top one where it says %localappdata%/autodesk is where you type that. Once you hit enter, follow the steps in my previous post.

There is an issue with AVG intrnet security and Fusuion 360.

It opened once then AVG detected an issue and remove a couple files.

Now Fusion will no open.

Hi all,

Just as a heads up we took this offline and it turns out that AVG during a security clean up had wiped the Fusion360.exe file from his local app data in the web deploy folder. I ended up copying and pasting that executable from my computer and put it in his directory and it seemed to work from that point forward. For anyone reading this thread experiencing the same issue, doing a clean uninstall of Fusion 360 (link here).should thoeretically do the same thing.
