Fusion very slow when opening files

Hi

Love fusion, but recently it has become very slow with some files Im working on. Im having the same issues that Phil E was having, so went through the thread "Fusion360 is still really slow" and tried pretty much everything there, but performance hasnt really improved. The main issue is when opening files, I get a spinning ball for 10-20 minutes, as well as exporting to print studio. Thoughts?

 Are you using Mac OS? It sounds like it based upon the spinning ball description.

Could you clarify a few things? Does this happen with all files, complex and simple? Have you tried elminating background processes like anti-virus software?

If you've tried all of the things in this thread with no change, perhaps it will help to try repairing the disk permissions on the system.

The user was dealing with an issue related to file size and restarting Fusion.

Do you have a really big design? Here is how you find out.

1. Open your big design (after waiting 10~20 minutes)
2. Use View > Show Text Commands
3. Set control in lower right to TXT
4. Enter component.count
5. Copy and paste the results into a reply here.

You may be running into a memory problem we are aware of and working to fix. Also, for some designs, you may just be making too much information for your hardware and Fusion to handle. There is an upper limit to file size/complextity that all CAD apps face.

Can you also post your system specs?

Also can you check your graphics diagnostic and paste the info here? (Graphics Diagnostic is on the ?Help menu)
