Fusion Split Body Error - No Intersection

I have this part that is curved on both sides, I've extended one side and am trying to split body along the curve to cut the excess off that doesn't stick to the curve but am getting this error.

my guess is that these areas are the problem.  But, as @g-andresen says, we need the model to find out more

thanks for the model, @kratjk21 - I was able to get this to work by first creating an Offset Surface (offset 0) of the splitting surface:

then, use the Untrim tool, I deleted the inner hole in the surface:

results in a nice surface:

and, that can be used to split the body.  Model attached
